The Frank and Walters - from the Wilderness to the Water Rats

Had the good fortune to see long forgotten Irish veterans The Frank and Walters at the Water Rats on Saturday. I've long admired the band's simple yet highly efficient indie-ness and their ability to lose their fanbase as their songs stayed at the high standard of their early releases - the interestingly titled EP1, EP2 and EP3 were all NME Singles of the Week in 1992, when the accolade really meant something.

There is an interview with the band here and it seems there is a B-sides album and an album of new material coming out soon. Have to agree that the new songs were just as good as the old, a rarity these days.

The track I have added is an acoustic session from their last LP, 2000's Glass.
